 How to Play 75-Ball Bingo

About the game

75-ball bingo, also called “pattern bingo,” has been popular across the world ever since players discovered the joys of this game in the 1920s. If you were playing at a live venue, a caller would call out random numbers between 1 and 75. If they appeared on a player's card, the player could cover or 'daub' them. The first player to complete a pattern stated at the start of the game wins.

Fun and fast-paced online bingo has made the game accessible to more people than ever before. It’s a great way to keep the brain active as you work to fill out a different pattern each time you play, and there are great prizes up for grabs if luck is on your side!

Buy your tickets

It’s easy to play online bingo. To start, purchase a bingo card, also called a ticket. You can see the price per ticket in the purchase panel or on the ticket. You need to buy at least one ticket to play.

You will see your ticket has a 5×5 grid made up of numbers from 1 to 75, and there is always a blank space in the middle of the grid, offering you a free square to help you fill in the predetermined pattern for a potential prize. (The only exception to the standard 75-ball layout is 5-line bingo, which features 5 columns, 5 rows, and 25 squares without a free space at the center of the ticket.)

The standard layout is as follows:

  • B column has numbers from 1 to 15
  • I column has numbers from 16 to 30
  • N column has numbers from 31 to 45
  • G column has numbers from 46 to 60
  • O column has numbers from 61 to 75

Pay-outs and jackpots

In most online bingo games, the size of a game's payout is based on the cost of each ticket and the number of players who take part in a game. The higher the ticket price and the more players join a game, the larger the prize. Occasionally, some games have a fixed minimum prize regardless of the number of players who participate and the price of the tickets. Progressive jackpots are also offered in certain games.

Start to play bingo

Once you’ve bought your ticket, the next step is to wait for the game to start. The "Game Starts" countdown will appear in the top left corner of your screen.

The aim of 75-ball bingo is to mark off numbers from 1 to 75 in a shape or pattern that will be stated before the game starts. The numbers are randomly generated and marked off automatically on your ticket in virtual bingo – it’s that easy!

Winning

If you’re lucky enough to form a winning pattern on your bingo card, the game stops and displays a message informing you that you’ve won and how much you’ve won.

75-ball bingo is easy to play, and you’ll find it exciting watching for potential winning patterns to form on your tickets – you can buy up to 96 tickets per game to increase your chances of winning.
