If the extravagance of Monte Carlo and the excitement of a beautiful hitwoman gets your heart racing, Assassin Moon is an online casino slot you’re likely to enjoy! Award-winning developer Microgaming has partnered with Triple Edge Studios to bring you this action-filled espionage-themed casino slot game. With lavish visuals, 4 jackpots on offer, and an RTP (return to player) of 96.08%, Assassin Moon is likely to capture your attention.

Game overview

Set in a luxurious villa in the millionaires’ playground – Monte Carlo – Assassin Moon immerses players in the entire narrative. First off, you’ll meet Luna — a glamorous agent, out to get her target. With classy lounge music in the background and Luna whispering sweet nothings throughout your gameplay, you’ll be transported to a scene seemingly out of a James Bond film!

On the reels, you’ll find 5 reels, 4 rows, and 25 fixed paylines. This game boasts an incredibly high variance, which means you can expect a fair number of spins without any wins, followed by a succession of big payouts. However, with a hit frequency of 30.49%, nearly a third of your spins should result in some sort of prize.
The base game hosts an RTP of 96.08%, which rises to 96.33% when you’re in the “Win Booster” mode – but more on that later! As with many slots you can play online, the real juicy fun happens during the free spins round, where you can meet with some big wins. Other features to look out for include stacked wilds and the HyperHold bonus game in which you have the chance to score one of 4 fixed jackpots, the largest being 5,000x your bet!

How to play

"Assassin

After the opening scene, you’ll be directed to the game window, where you’ll find the reels in the center of the screen, a bar featuring your betting options at the bottom, the bonus features displayed on the left, and the four jackpots featured at the top. Beneath the Assassin Moon logo, you’ll see a small bar showcasing the reels’ moon symbols — land 6 to 10 on a spin to trigger the HyperHold feature. Each of these symbols also reveals a cash prize or jackpot!

First, set your betting options on the bottom bar. See your credits on the left and your wins on the right. Choose your bet amounts ($0.10 up to $20), then decide on whether to activate the Win Booster – this will increase your base stake and the possibility of big wins (find out more about it in the features section below).

The symbols on the reels generate win potentials of 7.5x to 25x your bet when you land 5 in a row. Luna is the game’s wild, substituting for all other symbols (except the scatter and HyperHold symbols) to help you form winning combos, and if she appears 5 times on your reel, you’ll score the max win of 12,500x! Also, be sure to look out for the casino chip, which is the scatter symbol that unlocks the free spins round. Find more on how to play the bonus rounds in the sections below.

Graphics

Assassin Moon presents stunning visuals, an engaging storyline, and an alluring soundtrack – immersing you in a lush Mediterranean setting, surrounded by lion statues, bougainvilleas, cypress trees, and of course, La Lune herself – a large golden moon overlooking the evening’s action.

Agent Luna talks you through your mission during the opening scene, after which you’ll be presented with the gold-lavished game window. On-screen, you’ll find the reels in the center and the betting options, bonus features, and jackpots surrounding them. Finally, the large golden Assassin Moon logo is centered at the top of the screen, creating an ambiance of opulence to accompany you through the evening’s events.

The red and gold reels host 4 low-paying card symbols – J, Q, K, and A – followed by premium high-paying symbols, which include dice, cocktails, a sports car, a golden moon that triggers HyperHold, and a mean-looking man in the crosshairs – icons apt for the lifestyle of the high-rollers, minus the sniper action, of course. Finally (and you cannot miss her), you’ll see Luna holding a gun in an eye-catching pink dress. Luna is this online slot machine’s wild symbol.

Triple Edge Studios has certainly created an exhilarating experience with the game’s remarkable graphics, sexy music, and gripping storyline.

Features

""

Stacked wilds, free spins, and the Win Booster mode add to the action of Assassin Moon when you play this slot online.

Free spins

The gold and black casino chip is the scatter symbol, which triggers the free spins feature. You’ll be rewarded 10 free spins when you land 3 of these on reels 2, 3, and 4. During this bonus round, the reels will combine to form 3×3 jumbo blocks – the equivalent of 9 regular symbols. If you land a jumbo scatter, you’ll retrigger the free spins and be awarded 10 more!

Stacked wilds

Luna is the highest-paying symbol in the game, and as the wild, she can appear in stacks. These can cover every reel, making it possible to cover all 5 reels in wilds and awarding you the biggest win of 12,500x your bet!

Win Booster

Win Booster is an optional extra that players can choose to activate or not. Activating it increases the amount you bet on each spin by 2.5x. For the higher cost, you’ll get extra moon (HyperHold) symbols on the reels, which escalates your chance of triggering the HyperHold feature and raises the RTP slightly.

Bonuses and jackpots

HyperHold

When 6 or more golden moons grace the reels, they’ll trigger the HyperHold feature, which forms the game’s centerpiece. All other symbols will fade away as the moons come to the foreground against a very pink background. You’ll receive 3 spins, which are reset every time a new moon symbol lands. Each moon holds the value of 1.5x to 20x the bet, or the Mini, Minor, or Major jackpots worth 50x, 150x, and 750x respectively. The game ends when your respins run out – or when the grid is full of moon symbols. If you’re lucky enough to see the latter, the game will award you the Mega Jackpot, gifting you 5,000x your bet!
